Tip
of the day

Considering
the dungeon of paraphernalia that is Peter
West's computer room, we're not surprised
to learn it's actually a purpose-bought
flat next to his house. Here's the man working
on another big project, translating the
manual of Calamus SL2000, amid a jumble
of Atari computers (including his trusty
Falcon on the main desk and his son's hot-rodded
ST over in the background), stockpiles of
SyQuest media he wishes he hadn't, two printers,
towering stacks of floppy disk boxes and
a forest's worth of manuals, magazines and
translation notes. We haven't even got to
his wife's ST!
